You can definitely live a nutritionally balanced low carb vegetarian lifestyle. There are many nutritional benefits to eating animal-based foods, but more importantly, fats are essential macronutrients and important to include with all meals. For vegans, the limited options for fat as fuel makes a low carb approach difficult to sustain. We don’t recommend the program for vegans.
